Hi everybody!

I need some advice on how to rebuild the database using DICOM files already stored on my NAS, without duplicating data or transferring files via storescu. My NAS storage capacity is limited, and I would like to avoid creating any additional copies or moving large datasets.

Is there a recommended way to refresh or update the dcm4chee-arc database to recognize existing DICOM files already in the NAS storage location, without using storescu for import? Ideally, I want to build or recover the database index so that the existing files are available in the PACS, but do not want to perform any file-level transfers or duplication due to space constraints.

If there is an API, command, or documented workflow for this purpose, could you please provide guidance or example steps?

Thank you!
