DCM4CHEE cloud based installation / Remote Access

Greetings,

I am new to DCM4CHEE and Imaging Healthcare Software but have a system in mind. I would like to implement a cloud based PACS server that would be used by several hospitals and clinics. This would allow them to share Images, however I would like priory each hospital to have access to its own images and can be granted access to other hospital's images in some cases. here is the proposed design.

Questions:

1. Can DCM4CHEE be used for the above purpose?

2. What about the access control issue?

3. Is there any guideline of how to implement such a system? If yes, Can you please share?

4. Is there a documentation about the Webapp and api of DCM4CHEE?

Hi dear,

I hope you can archive your requirement. Use AWS to test this out.

I was also thinking about that. But main limitation on networks. This will consume big data bandwidth at the operational level.

Again data transmission of MRI , CT images be a big challenge.

I also like to know about your architecture.

Sim e possível, você vai precisar de um dicom gateway em cada hospital, e o dcm4 faz isso que você esta pensando.

Wagner, qual dicom gateway pode ser usado? E a questão dos exames de CT E MR, isso não influenciaria no momento em que os médicos iriam laudar os exames? Digo pela velocidade de upload e download dos exames.

Porta dicom do dcm 11112 ou a de sua preferencia, basta apenas alterar.

A questão do CT e MR hoje o dcm4 realiza uma compactação para transmitir e dependendo de como os médicos vão trabalhar.

O AWS atende bem.

Se for fazer retrive por um viewer (OSIRIX), usaria a porta dicom.

Ou pode usar o dcm4chee-web para fazer o download, (Lembrando da segurança, o jboss e horrível nesse quesito, faça antes uma vpn ou proxy de acesso externo.

Tudo vai depender de como o radiologista vai trabalhar.

Entendi, muito simples então. Questionei a respeito de CT e MR pois utilizo a cloud do AWS para backup, mas estou com muitas dificuldades para o tempo de envio, um exame de CT de 500 MB demora cerca de 45 minutos a 1 hr para ser enviado ao AWS isso num link dedicado de 10Mb. A compressão que você citou é automática ou é necessário eu configurar algo?

Hi ,

u said that dcm4chee support : search for specific AET.

for example if i have multi-client (client1,2,3, ....) and upload to dcm4chee server aws,

client1 can query for it's own studies right ?

1- how can i configure that ?

2- also how can i configure query that specific studies can query for specific user ?
