Hello all.

I intend to use dcm4chee-arc-light for storing JPG/JPEG images from a number of different specialties, acquired from heterogeneous devices. The source equipments generate images with different compression rates, such as:

image1.jpg - Compression: JPEG, quality: 75, subsampling ON (2x2)
image2.jpg - Compression: JPEG, quality: 97, subsampling ON (2x1)

I would like to know if it is possible to store these images using STOW-RS through the RESTful API or stowrs from dcm4che Toolkit, and retrieve its content using WADO-RS or WADO-URI without further compressions performed by the server. The content of the retrieved images must be exactly the same of the original images, despite its heterogeneous characteristics.

Is it possible to achieve this objective? If so, what would be the correct Transfer Syntax to be used? Are there configuration parameters to be adjusted on the storage server, or specific tags to be filled in sending the images to the server?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Alexandre Savaris
