dcm4chee removing study images

Hi,

My archive is configured to store images using dcmStoragePathFormat = format {now,date,yyyy/MM/dd}/{0020000D}/{0020000E}/{00080018}, so, the study folder, series folder and image files has each his iuid as himself name.

When I resend a study with one or more images with different digests compared to the original file the archive replaces the record on the location table, creating new location records and updating the status of the original record to 1 (TO_DELETE). After some time, the PurgeStorageScheduler executes and removes the records with status=1 from the location table and the image from the filesystem.

The problem is that the value of storage_path (location in filesystem) column in location table from the new location record and the original record are the same, and when PurgeStorageScheduler executes, it removes the valid image file from the filesystem and my study remains incomplete. In some cases all study is removed.

To avoid the removal of the study, i clear the "Purge Storage Polling Interval" config, so the PurgeStorageScheduler doesn't execute, but my location table remains with records with status=1.

Is this a bug or do I need to adjust some setting in my archive so that the image is not removed?

I'm using dcm4chee 5.33.1 in docker.
