Failing to Delete Rejected Instances dcm4chee arc light 32.0

I have about 10 series from various studies which have been rejected for "QUALITY" reason but when I used the endpoint/UI to delete rejected instances for "QUALITY" reason, I get a 200 response, indicating 0 instances deleted?

How can I force it to actually delete the rejected instances? Or is there any other way to permanently delete series/instances? I know there's a delete study endpoint and it seems to work well in this scenario when I want the whole study gone, but in these cases it's just stray series and the whole study hasn't been rejected and I want to keep certain series.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
