Veronique... as additional follow-up...
I have a successful dcm4chee/weasis server running on a Ubuntu
16.04 Server VM using the .deb packages from
https://github.com/nroduit/openmediavault-dcm4chee/wiki/Install-dcm4chee-on-Debian-based-distribution.
The only installation issue was that the -mysql .deb package has
Java 1.7 as a prerequisite and Ubuntu 16.04 ships with 1.8. The
install will fail. So I reverted Java to 1.7 using the second
answer (Option 1: Manual Installation) from
https://askubuntu.com/questions/761127/how-do-i-install-openjdk-7-on-ubuntu-16-04-or-higher.
Once installed, however, I was able to use update-alternatives and
revert back to 1.8. All seems well even after upgrading/using the
following:
dcm4chee- 2.18.3
weasis- 3.0.0-RC1
dcm4chee-web 3.0.7
weasis-pacs-connector 6.1.3
dcm4chee-web-weasis 6.1.3
I can't think that this approach will not work on Ubuntu 18.04, but have not tried that yet.
I hope this helps.
