Weasis Mac 10.12.x - Java 1.6

When I start Weasis 2.5, I receive the following error:

The Weasis launcher was unable to find an installation of Java 1.6 or better, which is needed to run Weasis. Java 1.6 comes with Mac OS X 10.5 and later versions. Either upgrade to a more recent version of Mac OS X or manually install Java 1.6 (if your system supports it).

Java 8 111 is installed. Apples Java 1.6 can only be installed upto OS X 10.11.x

Any suggestions?

Do you mean weasis-portable?

If it is the case you need to install JDK 8 not JRE 8.
