Has anybody any information on the following file:

/usr/local/dcm4chee-2.18.3-psql/bin/office

Occasionally the server goes and stays at 100% cpu usage.
The file above is identified by the shell top utility as the culprit.

Regards

If your server is exposed on the internet for public access, you must consider following the guidelines given in the following link, since JBoss 4.2.3 GA has some security vulnerabilities.

The above link would also be helpful, which discusses hardening the security of JBoss 4.2.3 installations.

Thanks for that information.

In relation to this file, /usr/local/dcm4chee-2.18.3-psql/bin/office do you know its function?

This file is not at all related to dcm4che and could be a malware. You can remove the file.

Thank you.
I have renamed the file /usr/local/dcm4chee-2.18.3-psql/bin/office to /usr/local/dcm4chee-2.18.3-psql/bin/$$office$$ and the problem has not recurred
and dcm4chee has continued to work normally. I am at a loss to know where this file came from. The server is isolated from Internet. I will keep an eye
out for further contamination.

Your conclusion was right, much obliged.

Vincent Treanor
