Hello,
I have been trying to change the receive AET on some of our data by invoking updateFileSystemRetrieveAETitle from the jmx-console. This worked well on a file system that only contained a few files, but seems to have hung when run on our main file system (4240564 instances, 40689 series, 1495 studies). The jmx-console has become unresponsive, and I'm not sure where to look for evidence that the update is actually progressing. I can't see anything in log files, and the number of instances associated with the new AET doesn't seem to have changed after about 60 hours.
Is there a way of monitoring the progress of the update, or would it be better to cancel and use mysql to modify the receive_aet fields directly? If that is a better option, is there a safe way of killing updateFileSystemRetrieveAETitle? As far as I can see it doesn't seem to have made any changes to the database yet, but is there a risk of introducing inconsistencies if I stop it prematurely? Also, if I did make the changes using mysql, would I need to modify anything apart from the receive_aet fields in the study, series and instance tables?
Many thanks for your help,
Russell
