Just want to view CT scan - but can't install WEASIS on my Mac

I have a fairly new iMac, and I'm trying to install WEASIS, but I keep getting this error:

The operation couldn't be completed.

(OSStatus error -192.)

(null) (-192)

My Java installation is completely up to date, so I'm scratching my head. Any ideas? I wanted to view my scans, which are pretty spectacular (when I had the few seconds to view them in the surgeon's office). I need to go over them to better understand my fusion and the issues that led to surgery.

You should follow the official instructions to install the latest Java version and perhaps start by uninstalling Java.

I've already done that. I still get the error.

You mean from the folder marked WEASIS Mac App? There's no actual launcher in there. The contents seem incomplete, so I'm not sure how to proceed.

If you need to run the portable distribution of Weasis, you must install the JDK to run a Java app on Mac (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads).

Otherwise you can install horos viewer (http://www.horosproject.org/).

Brilliant. Using the Horos viewer was the easiest option and allowed me to do everything, including animation, axial view, etc. I'm now requesting copies of all my imaging from my hospital. Thanks *very* much.

I have a similar issue. The weasis pop out and then exit. I don't know how to solve it. It never is successfully opened.
