My work and problem:  i am trying showing dicom on ipad  using sencha touch.   The pacs server is from GE.   After lots of reference, i am determined to use html5. So finally i find iOviyam. I have to say the tool is awsome. The author did a great job. thanks.

Afterwards, badly i got a news that GE pacs server possibly donot support  wado, only c-move.

1.   Could i achieve my target by dcme4chee and iOviyam(Oviyam)?  forgive me, i am not familiar with dicom and the tools. i am a beginner.  thanks.

2  here  https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/dcm4che/-Zo9KfUxV90/lk1oAJHX2IEJ  i find Oviyam2 support c-move.   According  the instrcuction , i configure (AE Title: OVIYAM2 & Port: 1025) in the GE pacs server.  I don't understand,  "…… When using C-MOVE a listener will be started with ……"   how to start a listener?   I find  the page "config.html"  (setting) , there is a listener setting.  But  cant update , no effect.

Eventually,  echo GE pacs server  succeed.  The related word information shows .   But images cant display.  why?

4.  In order to find the reason, i try to test c-move (Oviyam) on the my pacs server created by dcm4chee. And I learned C-move  " REQUIRES to declare each DICOM viewer on the PACS server"  on the website (http://www.osirix-viewer.com/PACS.html).  how can i declare a AET viewer in the dcm4chee server?

Please help.  Thanks a lot.  The bold font are mainly my questions.

Glad you like iOviyam. You need to configure your GE PACS for C-Move with the AE Title of the Oviyam installation, not dcm4chee. To clarify, iOviyam/Oviyam is the DICOM Viewer for your GE PACS Server.

Maybe  the four questions  together are not so clear。 Actually they are different question。 in question  2 ,  I said  the ge aet  of  oviyam   has been configured  and echo ge in the oviyam is succesful too.  however, only word display, no images.  why?

in  3 ,  to test or verify the c-move function of oviyam is good use indeed,  i make it work with dcm4chee which is created by me and can be operated more easily not like ge pscs server  configured by ge employer.  i dont know how add aet of oviyam in the dcm4chee as well  for c-move.

in 2 ,  i dont understand the meaning of  starting the listener and how  when use the c-move function of oviyam

thanks

All three relate to the same problem. C-MOVE requires configuration on both ends, the viewer & server. There is no way around this.

A2. The reason you're not getting any images is because the AE Title hasn't been configured on your GE PACS. You can C-ECHO and query but NOT retrieve images. The listener needs to be running on Oviyam to receive images from the PACS.

A3. Read the dcm4chee documentation on how to configure viewer AE Titles - it's fairly straightforward. You need to talk to your GE service engineer and ask him to configure the AE title of Oviyam for you if you want to get it to work. This is true of any viewer you use to query images from the PACS server.

The other alternative is to check if your GE PACS supports C-GET which does not require any configuration on the server.

Suresh, Thanks for your quick and kind reply.

My expression maybe poor.   The GE engineer has helped me to configure Oviyam AET on their pacs Server.   And the above result happened.

On the page https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/dcm4che/-Zo9KfUxV90/lk1oAJHX2IEJ,   "…… When using C-MOVE a listener will be started with ……",      Don't  it need to do some configuration?     Is the listener automatic?   what's the meaning here?

I think it's better and persuasive to make the Oviyam/iOviyam and Dcm4chee work together well  when using c-move. Then can ask GE egineer to do some additional check work , after all they said they had configured Oviyam AET on the pacs server as usual.  Right?

In detail, Initially  Oviyam/iOviyam and Dcm4chee can work surely when using wado. But questions appear  When using  c-move.  i  have added Oviyam  aet on Dcm4chee.  The picutures are here:

Is there something wrong with this ?   Thanks a lot.   Maybe there is some stupid mistakes for me. Hope give instrcuctions  detailly.  Excuse i am a beginner.  Thanks again.
