Hello,

I have configured a new ORM^O01 message template to include Study Description as a new tag. Newly added Study Description tag can be seen in DCM4CHEE UI but it cannot be fetched with C-FIND. I have configured the DVTk Modality Emulator C-FIND to include Study Description with the right Dicom tag 0008,1030 but it is not included in the C-FIND RSP.
Is there a template or a configuration in DCM4CHEE that defines which dicom tags are included in the C-FIND RSP? The response seems to be standard for all the C-FIND queries done.

Seems you are trying to get Study Description as part of MWL C-FIND response. See Attributes for the Modality Worklist Information Model, this attribute is part of Study module not MWL.

Hi,

I am new to all these stuff so how does the workflow normally work in these situations?
I am sending a RIS order to DCM4CHEE MWL as a ORM^O01 and trying to fetch the information stored in the MWL to reconcile the two studies.
In this use case I would need to fetch all the metadata in the RIS order including the Study Description.
So is it possible to configure the DCM4CHEE in a way that I could fetch these information using the C-FIND?
So basically I would need information from both the MWL Information model and Study module to be included in the C-FIND response?

Before storing images to archive, modalities make use of Query Modality Worklist [RAD-5] transaction to get worklist information from a worklist provider. These worklist attributes are then sent as part of the DICOM dataset while storing images to the archive. Modality can make use of either Requested Procedure Description present in root dataset of MWL or Scheduled Procedure Step Description present in Scheduled Procedure Step Sequence pf MWL attributes to be used as Study Description while storing images to the archive. See Query Modality Worklist [RAD-5] - Expected Actions.
