Hi,

I am using dcm4chee-arc-psql:5.22.0-secure (dockerized). I have using its MWL. Modalities are fetching information through it. Now I want to sent Study Instance UID in my MWL hl7 file. Can anyone guide me that in which field of OBR segment I should enter the information of Study Instance UID. My MWL hl7 is pasted below.

MSH|^~\&|mirth|mirth|HL7APP|DCMMWL|20060307110114||ORM^O01|MSGID20060307110114|P|2.5.1

PID||123456|123456||Nutun^A^^^||19670924|M||||||||||

PV1||O|OP^PAREG^|||||865^Referring^Physician||OP|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

ORC|NW||||SC||||||||||||||||||

OBR|1|||||||||||||||||2004281234|ProcedureID|ScheduledProcedureStepID||||CT|||||||||||||||

Need guidelines on this.

Study Instance UIDs are usually sent in ZDS segment which is a custom segment in HL7 messages. Check the orm2dcm.xsl file in dcm4chee server folder for identifying the ZDS segment field mapped for Study Instance UID.

Yes, he can use IPC segment. I didn't realize that he is using HL7 version 2.5.1. ZDS segment is used in HL7 2.3

If you are using HL7 Version 2.5.1, then you may consider using OMI^O23 (Imaging Order Message) instead of ORM^O01.
