Hello Everyone,

First of all, thanks for the amazing product and community.

I am pretty new to DCM4CHEE but have some experience in other PACS system.

Here is my scenario and what I'm trying to accomplish:

I have 3 small clinics with independent RIS system and DCM4CHEE system. I want to interconnect these clinics through a central DCM4CHEE installation which will act as both a central site for radiologist to read studies and as central archive site.

Since the 3 smalls clinics have independent RIS system they generate their own Accession Number and Patient ID, what I need is a way to identify the clinics by appending a suffix to Accession Number and Patient ID and by doing so preventing also study and patient anomalies such as studies and patient being merged by having same ID.

Do anyone know of a way to help with this scenario?

Best Regards,

The attributes of the received dicom objects can be coerced based upon the CALLING AE using xsl. For dcm4chee-2.xx.x there is a sample cstorerq.xsl provided in the server ../conf/dcm4chee-ae/MOD_AET folder.  The CALLING AE is passed to the stylesheet so you can use a single cstorerq.xsl in the dcm4chee-ae folder or you can define one for each in separate folders named by CALLING AE.

instead of appending a suffix it might be better to use "IssuerOfPatientID" and "IssuerOfAccessionNumber" fields. are you using dcm4chee 2.x or 5.x ?

Hello,

Sorry for the late response, I had some medical issues which consumed a lot of time.

@Arnold I'm using dcm4chee 2x.

@fleetwoodfc Ok, got that but in my case I'm developing a report system which will work together with DCM. How will I be able to call the study when using this setup?

Regards,

Fernando

Hi Fernando,

Have you tried Oviyam? You can use Oviyam's direct URL launching option in which you can use the Patient ID and study UID as the URL parameters.
