Hello,

may somebody please help me? I'm not a "geek"; I've just installed a cd/dvd publisher in a radiology department. The patients' exams are burned along with Weasis free Dicom Viewer. When I insert the burned cd in a normal pc, I have no difficulties in viewing the images as many times as I want, but when I insert it in the radiology workstation I can watch at it only once (the first time) then, the second time I try to look at the images, Weasis doesn't run. Can you please suggest a solution?

Could you give more informations about the burning process: Osirix, Osirix disk publisher plugin, dcm4chee-cdw, or the new weasis plugin? what is the Weasis version?

If the OS is windows, look if there is still a process (in windows task manager - processes) after closing the viewer. Or try to reboot the operating system.

If it is radiology workstation why not importing the images in your workstation application.

Thank you for answering me!
I think there's a conflict among Ge viewer and Weasis. It seems that the workstation does not upload java software cause it has no admin permission but, in this case, why you can see the images only the first time you install Weasis? I don't know why the phisician doesn't use PACS images instead of the burned ones but my problem is: why he can't do it.
Sorry if I didn't give you more detailed info.

There is no reason to have permission issue if you can run the viewer once. In addition, Weasis on CD-ROM is not installed on your system, it is a portable application run from the CD.

If you can give which solution has burnt this CD and what is the version of Weasis (visible in the window bar or menu Help > About), it would help. And if you can activate the java logging (see FAQ) to see if you get errors.
