I've seen the old posts at http://forums.dcm4che.org/jiveforums/message.jspa?messageID=12048 but anyone knows a practical workaround to solve the  Failed SOP InstanceUID List exceeds 64KB limit problem?
I'd like to do a C/MOVE/C/GET QR  from OsiriX that works with > 1700 instances.

Thanks beforehand

The post you refer to states that the 64KB limit is a warning and was not the reason why the transfer failed.

That's true, but the fact is that  the transfer fails when the 64 KB limit is reached!

The DCM4CHEE QueryRetrieveSCP has a "MaximumUIDsPerMoveRequest" attribute that is 100 by default so I assume this to mean that a request for a series with 1700 instances should be broken into 17 actual move requests by DCM4CHEE. Maybe investigate this a bit further and report back.
