Hi,

Just installed a new dcm4chee with weasis.

With this installation I get a open or save prompt for weasis.jnlp when I hit the viewer button in dcm4chee-web3 interface.

With the other servers I have installed (older versions) it just opens weasis without a open or save prompt.

How do I fix this?

The fix is to check the "always open this type of files" box in the download prompt in your browser.

This will not work in Google Chrome, but it works in Firefox and Internet Explorer.

This problem is not related to weasis, it is caused by recent changes in the way in which browsers handle jnlp files in general (and the discontinuation of NPAPI plug ins) and I believe this prompted a change in the way in which Weasis is launched in recent versions.

I have read about the "always open this type of files" box but I can not find it in Explorer only Firefix.
But still an empty popup window is left when weasis opens.

Presumably jnlp files are already associated to Java Web Start in your machine so basically what you want is to open those files directly instead of having to download them and open them manually every time. I believe the popup points to the jnlp file in order to trigger the download. So basically the button opens a popup with the jnlp URL.

For Internet Explorer you can try:

This empty blank window popup appears in some browsers. I fixed this issue in dcm4chee-web3. This fix has been validated with some other improvements, so it will be included in the next release of dcm4chee. See this post.

When I follow that guide I only get 6 options when I right click - "always open this type of files" is missing.

Nicolas, I don't know if this is planed but the demo server is not accessible with the login user and password user.
