Good afternoon,

The DCLC Executive Board, wants to remind to attend tomorrow's PUBLIC HEARING (Committee on the Judiciary) on: B21-0028 "Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2015".

Wednesday, July 8, 2015, 2 pm to 3 pm

John A. Wilson Building - Room 120

As we gear towards our initial goal of building partnerships and rallying internal support, we issued our first media advisory for this initiative for tomorrow's public hearing. Please share the advisory with your network, friends and family. It is important to show numbers and support. You can also send written statements to the address and email stated in the advisory.

Please note this effort is in partnership with many other organizations and individuals representing diverse nationalities. For example my husband and I are volleyball playing friends with a German couple in ward 3, who are very active in the community, they are legal residents, but are not citizens. They would be happy to vote in the upcoming elections. I will be sending this advisory to them and their friends.
