On behalf of Washington, DC-based 501c3 nonprofit Trinidad Concerned Citizens for Reform, I am happy to invite you to celebrate the historic occasion of inaugurating Barack Obama into the seat of U.S. President (what a powerful asana!) at the first ever entirely eco-friendly inaugural ball.
The Green Ball is being held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on January 17th (within 1 block's walking distance from the metro) featuring a performance by Grammy Award-winner/Haitian roving ambassador
Wyclef Jean (fun fact: he was recently named TreeHugger.com's "Top 5 Most Buzzworthy Green Musicians").
100% of the food served will be organic, all food waste will be either recycled or composted, the lighting design is energy efficient, and the event planners,
Event Emissary, are purchasing carbon offsets to neutralize the impact of transportation. Plus, 5% of tickets sales (when indicated as such by the purchaser) benefits
Trinidad Concerned Citizens for Reform and our work to provide an eco-friendly and sustainable future for the people of DC... that will, of course, because I am involved, include yoga :)
