The Discovery Center is on its way to you!

DCI’s Fall Regional Outreach is going on now!

During the months of October through December the Discovery Center of Idaho will be making its way across the state, bringing informal science education to your community.  Be the first in your area to book with us, and receive a two-hour Science Festival for free!  This includes a science presentation and a hands-on activity for your school or organization.

Crazy Critters

Animal Adaptations

What color is a polar bear?  How do chameleons change their colors?  Can lizards walk on water?  If you’ve ever asked yourself questions like these (or thought you knew the answer), then this is the show for you!  We explore the unique traits of some popular critters from around the world and then try to emulate them through science.

There are more varieties of birds on the planet than just about any other animal.  In this hands-on activity kids learn about some of the ways in which birds have adapted to their environments and each child will make their own unique bird to take home!

While our free regional outreach campaign can only accommodate the first group in each region to book with us, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all the fun.  Choose a show or activity (or both) and get three of your friends or colleagues to also book it, and yours is free!  Available any time of the year and anywhere throughout Idaho.

Visit dcidaho.org/outreach for details on our available shows and activities, or call 208-287-4235 for more information.

The calendar fills quickly, so call now and don’t miss out!

“Hey guys, wait for me!

I want to see the science show too!”
