Teacher News from the Discovery Center of Idaho
May 2015
FREE Summer Camp: We're looking for teens (7th-9th grade) interested in participating in a free camp this summer at the Discovery Center of Idaho (DCI). We are working with the Boise State Writing Project to offer a week-long camp funded by the National Science Foundation to explore the intersection of STEM and literacy. We are recruiting students to come to DCI and help hack/modify our exhibits and document these changes for other people to try. Details are at: http://intersections.dcidaho.org/
Teacher Preview of FIZZYology: Teachers and school administrators are invited to an free Teacher Preview Night of the new Discovery Center of Idaho exhibition, FIZZYOLOGY: The Science Behind Bubbles. We will discuss connections to state standards as well as our new Field Trip program. As part of that program, we will offer only one field trip per day to ensure teachers and students get the most out of their experience. This event will be Aug 26 from 7:00-9:00. Please RSVP with your name and school to H.W...@DCIdaho.org
