naked object pattern

Dear group -and Trygve-,

I have gazed at Richard Pawson's doctoral thesis on naked object pattern and came across with Trygve's preface. Fantastic!

I have a question to all group members, but especially to Trygve:

How NOP (naked object pattern) and DCI relates?

I am trying to reach a synthesis in my mind, I feel an obvious relation. But, I couldn't figure it out yet :)

NOP and DCI are both object oriented (as opposed to class oriented)
NOP is about object oriented end user mental model and end user computer interfaces with visible and tangible objects.
DCI  is about object oriented end user mental model and object oriented computer implementations.

Yes, exactly!

My intention is to move further, a possible synthesis of NOP and DCI.

The basic idea of NOP is that, user mental model is the essense, everything else (UI+DB,...) is a reflection in both technical and philosophical sense.

NOP uses pure OO, DCI promotoes pure OO to full OO. I think, it is possible and exciting to extend the mental model reflection idea with DCI‘s contribution to OO.

Of course, the reflected UI & DB can only be a default to demonstrate the mental model. This default should be decorated if not elaborated with usability experts.
