Why Specify this PGF file (HuEx-1_0-st-v2.r2.pgf) at “Open group/other information/CDF file”? (on Human Exon Array)

Hi,

On http://groups.google.com/group/dchip-software/web/process-exon-array-data,

it says:

Specify this PGF file (HuEx-1_0-st-v2.r2.pgf) at “Open group/other
information/CDF file”.

I don't quite understand why a .pgf is specified for an argument where
a CDF file should be specified. And HuEx has its corresponding CDF
file. Could somebody explain this?

Hi Peng,

My impression is that the exon array CDF file has a different format
from those of expression arrays, so we decided to just read in the PGF
file due to its simpler text-based format.
