Brothers,

It is again with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that Anand Subramaniam Appulingam (MSB '08) passed away a few days ago. Anand had been battling with health issues for years, but this sudden news certainly comes as a shock.

Anand was one of the earliest brothers to join our chapter in the fall of 2005. I grew to know him well in our years after college spent in the NY-NJ area, and can vouch that he was always a loyal friend who, above all else, knew how to have fun and make the most out of life. One of my favorite stories I've ever heard about anyone was when Anand and fellow brother Tom Elias spent a rather late night in their senior year playing a Rock Band gig in Paris, woke up the next morning to discover they had booked real-life tickets to Paris, and...went to Paris. Anand brought this kind of infectious spirit to everything he did.

I have reached out to his family to offer any support our brotherhood can provide during this difficult time. The family has scheduled a visitation at the John E. Day Funeral Home in Red Bank, NJ on Monday, April 3 from 5-8pm, and will hold a private service for close family only. They have asked that in lieu of flowers, you consider a donation to the Canine Companions for Independence, a cause that was dear to Anand.

H___F___F___,
Jeff Wray
