Welcome to Helsinki in Washington, DC! The uniquely exotic Finnish
capital is on display at the Embassy of Finland and open for all
visitors to experience, touch, taste and enjoy. Come and discover the
lure of the Nordic city and its design, music and food and drink
offerings in the "MyHelsinki" exhibition. The core of the exhibit
presents the experiences of 12 Americans from all walks of life on
their visits to Helsinki.
- Learn more about Finnish culture, education, technology, businesses,
nature and much more!
- Don't forget to taste the various Finnish delicacies and treats
available. The Finnish Embassy offers a full palette of delicious
Nordic cuisine on EU Open House Day. Come and taste the pure, Arctic
flavors of smoked salmon, Finnish cheese, delicious pastries and
candy.
- Furthermore, the Finnish Embassy invites all kids and their parents
to explore a crafts workshop on EU Open House Day. Try out your skills
in making simple but elegant Finnish crafts!
- Additionally, the Finnish Embassy exhibits the English-language
works of many of the country's most well-known authors.
Additional Information: "MyHelsinki" exhibit is open Friday to
Sunday, 11am-4pm, from May 2nd to 31st, including Memorial Day.
There are free shuttles from Dupont Circle, departing every 15 mins…
