Hi Fair Foodies,
welcome back! Hopefully everyone had a fun & restful summer!
We wanted to let you know what has been happening with DC Fair Food. We spent the summer working with our friends in GROW, the George Washington University Community Garden. If you are in the area and would like to volunteer, find them on Facebook, Instagram or email them here: gwgarde...@gmail.com
We also spent time talking to various higher education programs in the DC area, from summer internships, to most recently, incoming Freshmen, who are part of a social justice orientation program at Georgetown University, called First Year Orientation to Community Involvement (FOCI)
Please join us in wishing our dear friend & DC Fair Food alum, Pati C., the best of luck in the next step in her academic career. We are so excited & happy for her but will miss her tremendously. Check out the video that we made about her time with DC Fair food, below.

And yes, we finally have pins & stickers available again! You can pick them up at our meeting this Sunday at the District house on George Washington University's campus.

If you can't make it to the meeting & still want a pin or sticker, shoot us an email and we can get one out to you.
One last thing, its not too late to join students from all over the country for a weekend filled with strategizing, making new friends & exchanging ideas about the Fair Food Program! We have several DC Fair food Folks going to the Encuentro and would love for you to join us as well.
