DC Joins the 4 for Fair Food Tour!

Calling ALL students, community members, people invested in justice for farmworkers!!!

DC Fair Food and other allies are joining the Coalition of Immokalee Workers for their major action in Ohio from March 7-9. Join us in demand that Ohio State University put an end to exploitation in the fields and cut their contract with Wendy's!

WHAT: The Coalition of Immokalee Workers' "4 for Fair Food Tour"!

From March 2-14, farmworkers and their families from Immokalee will travel from Florida to Michigan and back again for the national “4 for Fair Food Tour,” joining forces with students at four leading state universities who have been ramping up pressure on their administrations to boot Wendy’s off campus until the hamburger giant joins the Fair Food Program.

WHEN: Thursday, March 7 through Saturday, March 9.

We'll be departing from D.C. the evening of Thursday, March 7 and arriving in Columbus, Ohio that night. On Friday, we will have breakfast with the CIW and other allies and help prepare for the day's major action. At 2:00pm we will gather, and at 3:00pm we will participate in the major action on Ohio State's campus. We'll eat another breakfast w the CIW on Saturday morning, and leave Columbus in time to arrive back to DC by 4:00pm.

COST: Our fee is a sliding scale of $15-100. Pay what you are able! This cost will cover all transportation, lodging, and food for the trip. Reach out to DCFF with any q's or concerns!

SO WHAT'S UP WITH WENDY'S?: Wendy's is the ONLY major fast food chain that hasn't signed on to the Coalition of Immokalee Workers' (CIW) Fair Food Program, which ensures farmworkers fair wages and avenues to report violence that occurs in the fields.
