Fair Foodies, join us this Saturday for an Art Making Party!
Come make signs and banners with DC Fair Food Tomorrow from 12-2pm for the "Pulling Back the Curtain on Wendy's" National Week of Action! We'll be making art at the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor in Maguire 210 and painting outside in Red Square, on Georgetown University's campus. Tuesday October 23rd, 10am-4pm, the CIW's Harvest without Violence Museum, The exhibit illustrates the origins and effects of sexual violence in the fields and how the CIW's Fair Food Program has successfully fought to protect workers' safety and dignity. Two nationally-recognized farmworker leaders, Silvia Perez and Silvia Sabanilla, will be offering bilingual guided tours of 20-30 minutes between 10 AM and 4 PM in Red Square. Thursday October 25th, 3:30pm-  Advancing Food Justice in the Nation’s Capital, Alumni House, 3604 O St. NW, Washington, DC 20057
Lauren Shweder Biel, Executive Director and Co-Founder, DC Greens

Drawing on her work with DC Greens over the past decade, Ms. Biel will share examples of cross-sectoral programs and policies in the District of Columbia that are designed to address individual and community health through food education and food access.
