learn from box office success like "The Blind Side" and "Fireproof? Is
it the business of the church to make films? Should the "faith-based"
label exist for films?
JOHN DAVID WARE is the founder and president of the 168 Film Project
(168), which has birthed nearly 500 short films in its eight-year
history. One-sixty-eight has helped propel the lives and careers of
hundreds of media professionals all over the world by teaching them to
focus on excellence of craft and on God's Word. John has written
feature-length screenplays and is the writer/director of a short film
spoof of Hollywood stereotypes entitled "The Chronicles of Hernia: the
Lion, the Ditch and the Studio" (

Originally from Columbus Ohio, John went to film school at Miami
University and graduated with honors. In 1998, he co-founded SLATE
Entertainment Fellowship at Bel Air Presbyterian Church, which he led
for 5 years.
