"Adoniram's Calling" short film and stage readings - January 15

The Power of a Changed Life!

Adoniram is Calling! You are invited to a screening of "Adoniram's
Calling", a promotional short film and entry in Openfilm’s Get It Made
film competition. Excerpted from a feature screenplay that tells the
pre-conversion story of Adoniram Judson, first U.S. foreign
missionary, it was produced through the assistance of Christians in
the Cinematic Arts.

Adoniram’s Quest: Stage readings of the feature screenplay that
continues Adoniram’ story will also be performed. Life began anew
once Adoniram converted to Christianity; God sent him to Burmah, where
he and wife Ann brought Christ and the Bible amidst ministry
struggles, sacrifice and most of all, love.

Film Synopsis: 1791. Growing up, Adoniram's father preaches a
comprehensive religion. 1806. College friend Jacob's more reasonable
approach to religion is smart, but when tragic circumstances fall
across Adoniram's path, the revelations that rock his world can't be
explained by mere reason.

Stage Readings: After American farewells, Adoniram, now in partnership
with Ann, encounters inquiring Burmese minds that stretch faith as
well as intellect, difficult fellow missionaries and more emotional
goodbyes.

film competition is January 1, 2011 to January 31, 2011. We

Additionally, there will be refreshments, meet and greet with the
actors and a relevant children’s program for ages 5-12.
