Farm Your Schools Garden Tour this Saturday, October 20 from 11am to 1pm!

The Farm Your Yard: School Garden Tour will showcase the work that is being done regarding school gardens as learning spaces, so our communities become more aware of the importance of school gardens for student growth and education. 

Don't miss a great opportunity organized and hosted by Dairy Creek Community Food Web to visit five Forest Grove school gardens and two school gardens in Hillsboro! Tell your friends and neighbors to step outside and enjoy the great weather and learn more about gardens and gardening. There will be kids activities in each garden and raffle prize opportunities for participating. 

Start at the Senior Center in Forest Grove to get your map of schools. In Hillsboro visit Lincoln Street Elementary School and Lenox Elementary School.  The event runs from 11am to 1pm and each garden will be hosted by volunteers to tell the garden's significance, programs, and history.

This event is free to the public and we encourage everyone to attend! Kids activities and no-cost-to-enter raffles will also be part of the tour! The tour will be Saturday October 20th, from 11AM-1PM. Attached are the flyers for both the Forest Grove and Hillsboro School Garden Tours with all this information.
