Dear DCB Users,
The Digital Collections Builder 1.2.1 patch release is now available for download from the DCB website: http://dcb-gcn.canadiana.ca/doc/Download. Release 1.2.1 is a patch release intended to fix several major bugs that were found in Release 1.2. Major fixes in 1.2.1 patch release include: providing advanced searching using mediatype and fixing a bug that could cause contact information from one organization to overwrite the contact information for another organization.

If you are already running DCB 1.2, instructions for upgrading to the 1.2.1 patch release can be found on the Qubit toolkit wiki: https://www.qubit-toolkit.org/wiki/Release_1.2.1.
We are currently testing the upcoming DCB 1.3, due for public release on August 20th, 2012. We are excited to offer a number of new features and enhancements including: Drag and drop sorting of resource descriptions, improved Search, new Security features, and PDF full-text searching. Stay tuned for the 1.3 Release announcement in August 2012. We are also in the process of updating the DCB user manual.
As always, we rely heavily on the feedback and suggestions from the DCB community to improve each software release. Please continue to send your questions and comments to the discussion list. Your input is very important.

Thinking about doing the patch but would like to hear more about 1.3.
Are we on target for Aug 20? That is my last week at this library. Timing is critical!! ;>
