Looking to put the sharethis button on our DCB. Not necessary on the
launch page but do wonder where in our (.css?) should drop the code

<a class="addthis_button" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?
v=250&amp;pubid=xa-4f6395dd390f97c0"><img src="http://s7.addthis.com/
static/btn/sm-share-en.gif" width="83" height="16" alt="Bookmark and
Share" style="border:0"/></a>

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/
addthis_widget.js#pubid=xa-4f6395dd390f97c0"></script>

Love the way it has come out on the City Archives site.

Can we ask if they went for analytics?

Thank you
Maryann

Hi Maryann,

Are you using a custom theme? If not, which theme are you using (the default theme is Alouette, the green colored theme)?

Thanks about the City Archives site... was great to launch that! I'm not sure what your question about the analytics means.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Maryann,

For the City of Vancouver we added the ShareThis button to the following templates:

apps/qubit/modules/staticpage/templates/indexSuccess.php
plugins/sfIsaarPlugin/modules/sfIsaarPlugin/templates/indexSuccess.php
plugins/sfIsdiahPlugin/modules/sfIsdiahPlugin/templates/indexSuccess.php
plugins/sfRadPlugin/modules/sfRadPlugin/templates/indexSuccess.php

The first template (indexSuccess.php) is for the "Home" static page, the other three add it to the "view" page for the relevant standard.  You could instead add the css to:

apps/qubit/templates/layout.php

Which would show the ShareThis button on *every* page of your whole site.

Regards,
David

Thanks for checking in Mike. We use a version of sfCaribouPlugin.

I am trying to get contol of some of the details for webediting of our
pages... and let Artefactual (esp. David) take a break from our
implementation as we are just getting going.

For analytics I meant the analytics that go with ShareThis. We
already run general google analytics on our pages.
Good to hear from you
Maryann
