This week we have a great presenter!
🎤 Presenter: Maksim Khrychev, Vision & Growth Lead for Drivable Music at Impulse Audio Lab, who develops interactive audio systems that dynamically adapt to real-time vehicle telemetry.
💡 What to Expect: In this session, Maksim will demonstrate how modern automotive audio user experiences are designed - starting with interactive engine sounds and UI audio, then moving into adaptive music systems that respond to real-time driving dynamics. He will share how Impulse Audio Lab approaches in-car sound as a layered system: from perceptually correct EV engine synthesis and feedback tones, to musically intelligent behaviors driven by vehicle telemetry (acceleration, steering, blinkers, etc.).
The session is structured in three parts:
- a brief introduction to Impulse Audio Lab and its automotive audio projects,
- the fundamentals of interactive sound design for vehicles - engine sound practices, UI audio constraints, and perceptual principles,
- a detailed walkthrough of Drivable Music, including how AI stem separation enables music to be deconstructed and reassembled in sync with driving.
Maksim will share creative and technical decisions behind real implementations with prototype test vehicle and demonstrate live examples of telemetry-driven music adaptation. Participants will leave with a practical understanding of how interactive audio systems are built for production vehicles, and a framework for thinking about music as a dynamic, driver-responsive layer in the automotive UX.
