Hi all,

I'm planning to participate in DCASE 2026 Task 2 (Noise-aware Unsupervised Anomalous Sound Detection for Machine Condition Monitoring) and have been checking the challenge page regularly. As of today, all fields for Task 2 — task description, development dataset, baseline system, and evaluation dataset — still show "TBA."

Could the organizers share an approximate timeline for when the detailed task description and development dataset will be available? This would help us plan our research schedule accordingly.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Kuhn,

Thank you for being interested in Task 2.
We, the task 2 organizers, have done our part and are just waiting for the new page to show up.

For the time being, you can already get essential information for Task 2 from the following URLs:

Enjoy!

Best Regards,

Noboru Harada

Hi,

We have some small delays with other tasks, but the whole challenge website should be up in a few hours.

We are usually aiming for an AoE time zone to give a bit of extra time for last minute corrections. Please remember that all challenge organizers are doing this voluntarily, and people may have other pressing responsibilities.

Best,
Annamaria
