Hello all, I have been interested in computer security for a long time
and I would really like to take that farther. I have been trying to
take some classes at ARCC and Hennepin Tech but I get the first few
classes done only to find out that they are not offering the rest of
them. I am looking for advice as to where to start on learning more
about security. Where should I go if I would like to make this more
of a career out of this?

Thanks for reading,
Jason

Jason,

Try using following resources.

1. Owasp.org which is great site for all the resouces you need.
2. You can also buy Web Application Hacker's Handbook.
3. Buy CISSP All in one edition from Shon Harris. This will give you overall picture of computer security.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!!
Narendra

There are a lot of good videos on youtube and securitytube.com. Also,
I'd suggest checking out some podcasts starting with pauldotcom.com
and Security Justice. There are a lot of tools and methodologies out
there so a big part starting off is just getting to know what is out
there. If you want formal training SANS offers some good technical
classes in a wide range of topics.

If you have any specific question you can ask them on a number of
different mailing lists including this one. The pauldotcom.com podcast
has a good active mailing list too.
