Corq needs a hacker friendly house rental/referral in longwood/altamonte/orlando/surrounding areas -  can go as far as 10 mile east/west, or as far north as Lake Mary. New jerb is in Maitland, targeting 15-20 mile radius commute, any direction.

Constraints:
  • Can do years' lease, (possibly 2 years lease, I'm reading that 2-yr leases are the thing now)
  • 2 twitter cats @gingerpaws and @shadowpawz  must be allowed
  • Need a small backyard in a neighborhood without HOAs/deed restrictions that won't mind a funny-looking 15 ft high loop antenna for my wacky shortwave/rtlsdr/ADS-B monitoring hobbies <<<<- super high priority, after cats!
  • Significant other is a ham, so this antenna thing is the deal with the devil I consigned to, to get him to agree to the move ;)
  • Place in question *can* be a "fixer-upper" if I can get referrals to reliable repair services that can respond to repair emergencies for reasonable cost (I can fix a lot of things but sometimes I'm stuck at work and have to call 3rd parties)
  • I'm cool with any real estate agents if they are tolerant of renter's needs
  • New jerb wants me local to office in Maitland by June. (NO PRESSURE! ;-))
  • Can do up to $1200/mo plus pet deposits for right location
  • Targeting late April/beginning of May for move-in
Backstory: the rental property search engines/sites have been wildly hit/miss, bringing me SEO-pumped "uptown" results when I'm cool with just modest old-skool florida bunglow style "Flintstone houses" (If you're a Floridian, you know what I'm talking about...) While I'm not going to have some F-150 up on cinder blocks, my outdoor raspberry pi/antenna projects may seem weird to the neighbors. I'm hoping to find a neighborhood that's hip to this modern phenomena...

BONUS options:
  • Nearness to familab so I can participate moar
  • Walk-ability to grocery store or mom/pop convenience store, significant other doesn't drive, bike routes or walking proximity to stores preferred

cor...@gmail.com just mention "house rental orlando #familab" or something so I can separate it from my sudden flood of moving-company spam!

I'm probably having exacerbated anxiety due to new job/moving stuff, but creating a shortlist of potential places/leads will calm me down. Thank you guys for any/all leads!

Can I pass this along to my rental agency?  I live too south of that area(i'm next to orlando airport), however I think he rents properties up there and he's pretty easy to get along with?
