Hey guys!

For those of you that don't know me, I'm g3k with BsidesOrlando and DC813. I used to help run DC407 as well. If you're wondering how I got your contact info, it's from the official DefconGroups page or I know you.

So why the hell am I emailing you for?

DC407 and DC813 threw a party last year at Defcon, basically calling it "Florida Hacker's Party" and it became known as the EFF After Party. We invited a bunch of other groups to come hang out as well and it was a lot of fun. 

This year we have a pretty great idea. We were considering going for the big suites Defcon was offering, but that level of commitment seemed a bit more crazy than we want to deal with. We'd like to another party this year as the feedback from last year was great. Our idea is "Defcon Floridaman Party" Shitty beer, handing out wife beaters, bathsalts you can use in the bath not for up your nose, etc. For ideas check out http://reddit.com/r/floridaman. Inflatable aligators, flamingos, maybe someone can convince John McAfee to show up.

We're going to throw this party. You are welcome to commit or not as you wish. We just want to get you guys involved if you are coming to Defcon. We want to meet you if we haven't met you, we want to do stupid shit with you in Vegas.

I'm sending this email out to gauge interest in anyone who wants to help out with the party. I know it's early, but we're still really high on BsidesOrlando being awesome so we're keeping the momentum going.
