Thanks for reaching out to me. I'm surprised how well the article turned out, that's a testament to the reporter, as well as Rod, instead of using shock tactics to scare people. Here's the deal, I personally don't like working with the press, because how often things are misrepresented in this world. That being said, if the level of journalism used in that article is what were to be expected, I'd be happy to work with you.

 

On that note as well, I'm no longer living in Orlando, but I'm on the board for the only hacker conference there. I do know quite a lot of people from the Orlando hacker community and I can see if anyone would be willing to provide a demonstration. I could set something up myself, but with my schedule, I don't have time. What exactly are you looking for? A duplicate of the demonstration in Miami, or something else? 

 

Let me know what you are looking for and I'll forward on the information to some other parties to see if they are interested.

Would anyone be interested in doing a demonstration for a reporter in Orlando to help represent the community here? I'm not sure exactly what he's looking for, but I'm assuming it's going to be a duplicate of what Rod did in Miami. This would help with BsidesOrlando immensely and you can help shape a news story that isn't a shock piece about the hacker known as 4chan.

 

Let me know if you are interested and what you would like to demonstrate. We need to leverage this kind of reporting to benefit the community here, so think carefully before volunteering to do this. You'll need to be able to convey ideas clearly and accurately without much industryspeak. I have no idea when I'll have free time over the next couple of months, so I'm unavailable.
