Who are we?
We are a grass roots organization that began 3 years ago.
Our Objective?
To reconcile the 2nd amendment with common sense. Without launching into
a long winded dissertation concerning our views, please visit our homepage
as listed above.
How do we propose to acheive it?
Our offices are a scant 20 minutes from the Capitol Building in
Washington, D.C. We have lobbied and continue to lobby Congress on several
issues regarding both gun ownership rights as well as gun control.
Additionally, we have enjoyed national coverage through television, radio,
and newsprint media, and well as coverage in local newspapers from
Virginia
to New York to Oregon. With our membership rising, we have established a
presence in over 42 states, and have begun a variety of lobbying efforts
to
address several of the ballot issues in upcomming elections.
Are we sure we're not a front for either the NRA or the HCI?
Though our some of our views coincide with both the NRA and HCI, as well
as
many other groups, we are neither affiliated or supported by any. We are
self-financed by our own wallets and our membership dues. No one on the
Board of Directors is compensated in any way for their efforts.

This is basicly a bunch of folks who think they can save
their single shot rifles by getting everything else banned.
Even their newsletter name supports the notion that you
don't have a right to any kind of "dangerous" weapon. The
AFA's postion on semi-auto shotguns means that most of the
guns currently used in bird hunting and in clay sports would
be banned or severly restricted.
I'd recommend reading their web pages with attention paid to
the details. There is a reason that they are invited to HCI
and other gun control functions.

I don't know that the location is something I'd brag about. It seems
that organizations forget their roots when they move to DC. (Look
at environmental groups for some examples)

All gun control groups get press when they say something bad about
the NRA.

I know you are not a front for the NRA. The HCI I'm not so sure
about.

AFA is yet another group of fascist gun-grabbers masquerading
as a pro-RKBA organization.
Don't send a penny to to AFA! Instead, give as much as you can
to the NRA-ILA, JPFO, CCRKBA, and other *real* pro-RKBA organizations
that are doing their best to make sure that gun-grabbers don't get
to deny U.S. citizens their basic civil rights and liberties.

AFA will do anything demanded of it by HCI and other gun-grabbing groups.
Jeff Pasternack of the AFA is at least as dishonest as Slick Willie.
He never saw a gun he didn't want to ban, his whining notwithstanding.
You people make me sick. I got your
reasonable gun control laws hangin'. Your nothing but a bunch of turncoats
from the real NRA. Damn good thing you're gone.

Lets not forget my all time favorite:
They Can Have My Guns When They Pry 'Em From My Cold Dead Fingers.
If you want to compromise our rights away, go talk to the IRS or the BATF!
You, as an organization, don't offer American Citizens anything they don't
already have, except ways to lose the rights they already possess. Get a
life, go hunting or fishing or something useful.
