You are invited to the next meeting of the Washington Area Computer
(WAC) User Group, scheduled on Saturday, April 21st from 12:30 PM to
3:30 PM at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), 4210 Roberts
Road, Fairfax, Virginia. The meeting is free and open to the public.
Preregistration is not required to attend.

Cherie Lejuenne and Ralph Sklarew will be our guest presenters in
April. By now we've all been inundated by news and ads for the latest
iPad, its Android competitors and buzz about the upcoming Windows 8
tablets. But for those who haven't taken the plunge, April’s meeting
will include a brief review of tablets and apps: What they are; How
they differ from portable PCs (& smart phones); How to use them;
Accessories; and Why tablets are best for you. The real action for
tablets use is all about the apps so Cherie and Ralph will demonstrate
some of their favorites for Communications, Entertainment,
Information, Record keeping, Shopping, and "Productivity." Please
bring your tablets, if you have them, and your questions, for others
will benefit from your inquisitiveness. And for existing tablet users,
prepare to share your favorite apps!

Also in April will be a "Learn 30" tutorial with tips on how to clean
your PC. You think it's dirty behind your fridge? Wait till you see
the cruft that collects inside your computer! Tyvek suits and dust
masks optional. Don't wear new duds to this special, hands-on session!
