Description: I have been asked identify ideally regionally local USA Citizen Independent Consultant Information Security Specialist candidates with three+ years' experience in Network Security Monitoring - preferably on Enterasys Dragon but Snort/SourceFire, Network Flight Recorder, ISS RealSecure or other IDS platforms are possible alternatives, this will include two+ years' experience with Incident Response, specifically developing response plans and providing Incident Handling services, experience with computer forensics (EnCase, F.I.R.E., Knoppix) is a plus and ideally a GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst or Incident Handler certification with CISSP certification a plus, for an initial six month independent contract with a firm conversion to a highly visible salaried employee position after the six months in the College Park, Maryland area (~8 miles N.E. of Washington D.C.) (Ideally regionally local area candidates: Maryland, Virginia, Eastern West Virginia / Washington D.C. / Delaware / Pennsylvania, no interviewing, travel or relocation expenses are provided. This long term project in the College Park, Maryland area offers an initial six month independent contract with a firm conversion to a salaried employee after the six months with a competitive starting rate in the $45hr-$50hr range depending on experience with no expenses available and a generous conversion starting salary in the $100,000+ per year range with benefits.
