Responsibilities: The Position This Principal Consultant will win and deliver consulting engagements. The Principal Consultant will be responsible for generating new business and managing the client service offerings from initial sales pursuit and engagement strategy through the completion of the deliverables. He/she will analyze, along with the Vice President, the strategic and tactical needs of clients and develop and manage deliverable solutions to address those needs. This position will assist in growing, developing, and managing a team of business consultants as well as defining consulting projects, arranging work, staffing teams, achieving profitability goals, developing personnel and ensuring client satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include: * Managing client engagements with local customers * Defining the scope of the project * Dividing it into tasks * Assembling a team * Setting milestones * Assuring quality completion of the deliverables * Assessing current client programs * Participating in new process visioning and design * Planning new solution implementation * Providing leadership in the sale and delivery of consulting services * Identifying and assessing technology and business alliance partners * Assist with creating and managing the operations of the office * Participating in developing the business vision for client companies * Developing new client work for North Highland with existing clients Making key resource decisions on projects * Managing work in such a way that the results are both of distinctive quality and useful to the client in terms of improving competitive position * Staffing the organization and developing managers and staff under his/her supervision * Assisting with recruiting, supervising and evaluating additional talent for the office

Qualifications: The Candidate Position Requirements: Consulting Experience/Skills (at least 2 of the following): • Process Management (business process re-engineering/design) • Activity Based Costing/Management • Performance measurement/balanced scorecard • SOX/Internal Controls reviews • Cost reduction • Business intelligence package(s), including: Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects, etc. • ERP Financial module implementation • ERP requirements gathering • Project management • Merger integration • Financial due diligence • Six sigma • Organizational transformation/design • Policy and procedure development • Business case development • Accounting Finance Experience/Skills (at least 2 of the following): • Financial Reporting • Financial analysis • Planning and budgeting • General accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit & collection, general ledger) • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Treasury/Cash Management • Project accounting • Financial statement auditing • Internal auditing • Procurement/sSpply Chain Education: • BA/BS Accounting or Finance; • Four-year degree and 5+ years accounting/finance experience • MBA or certification (below) preferred Certifications: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Industry Experience: • Consumer products • Hospitality • Pharmaceuticals • Entertainment & Media • E-commerce • Manufacturing • Retail • Telecommunications • Healthcare • Distribution • Manufacturing • Energy • Financial Services • Utilities At least twelve years of professional experience, including a least five (5) years recent experience in a management role within a consulting services organization. * Excellent judgment combined with solid understanding of current business issues. * Candidates must demonstrate work experience in consulting with focus in at least one area including but not limited to: human capital consulting, supply chain management, financial management, project management, information technology consulting and call center management. * Candidates will have experience in helping organizations design and implement process improvement, reporting and technology solutions across the enterprise. * Bachelor's degree required with a strong preference for focus in MIS, accounting, or business. Related master's degree preferred. General consulting skills required: * A demonstrated track record of successful consulting engagement management experience; including directing other staff members and having a major role in managing and interfacing with senior level client executives. * Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence versus direct line authority. * Ability to balance the demands of multiple client assignments and staff development while pushing the intellectual envelope in search of solutions to complex problems. * Excellent interpersonal/communication skills with professional staff, senior level executives and the community at large. * Creative thinking and seeking innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems. * An entrepreneur with the ability to develop his/her practice area within a larger organization by leveraging existing resources and capabilities in new and unique ways to achieve success. * Able to leave his/her ego at the door and achieve goals in a collaborative work environment. Key Considerations/Selling Points * North Highland works for clients based in or near cities where the company has an office. This allows for deeper relationships with clients and prevents consultants from having to travel extensively * North Highland hires only seasoned consultants. This ensures that projects can be completed more efficiently and at a lesser risk to clients * The company is privately held and employee-owned. This empowers employees to make all decisions based on what's best for our clients and our people - not outside directors or investors * Most project teams include consultants from several specialty areas who deliver customized solutions for each client. The company is very profitable and is financially sound Education The successful candidate should have a bachelor degree. A master's degree and/or professional certifications are advantageous. Compensation This position will be competitively rewarded.
