Description: Project Manager responsibilities include: Ensure scope of the project work is well-defined and managed Lead the development and maintenance of the appropriate work plan(s) and schedules Report status in a measurable, accurate and timely manner using a standard status reporting tools Manage the project team to ensure that they have a plan that reflects the work and are working the plans Monitor the work status and ensure that key activities and deliverables are completed as scheduled Develop work-off/contingency plans for slipping tasks Ensure a staffing plan exists that supports the planned workload â?" i.e. the right resources are focused on the right tasks at the right time Monitor and drive the execution of the associated staffing plans Proactively manage Issues and Risks identified to ensure they are being resolved and managed to avoid negative impacts Keep EDUCATE Program Manager apprised of key issues, risks, and action items Work with Quality Assurance to validate product quality and conduct interim quality checks of key deliverables Serve as authority/point of contact for Perot management and client. Deliverables: o Status Reports (internal and client) o Work Plan Updates o Issues (entered via Sharepoint) o Risks (entered via Sharepoint) - Proven leadership skills - Strong analytical and organizational skills - Strong communication skills - Ability to effectively manage scope, resources, costs, and client relationships - Ability to manage leveraged shared service organizations - Experience with IT infrastructure projects â?" data center migrations, network upgrades, VOIP, Email upgrades, O/S upgrades, document management systems - Strong project planning and Microsoft Project skills - Experience working with Federal Government clients - Knowledge of OMB mandates and federal architecture and security requirements
