Reasonable salary expectations in DC?

I have the opportunity to interview w/ a company that would require me
to move to the DC area and manage a small team of salespeople for a
pre-IPO software organization. The office is in downtown DC. What
would be a reasonable expectation for salary in the DC/VA/MD area?
I'm thinking in the low $100's before commissions, etc. Middle
management in my previous locations was in that range in Northern
California and in the $70's in Alabama, where I am now. Any input on
that and cost of living would be great.

Yes, costs are probably about the same here as in the S.F. Bay area.
Absent any more specific info from this newsgroup, a Web search
would be in order for cost-of-living sites.
