Two Zine Workshops in May!

Hi everyone! We've got two great zine workshop collabs this month. We hope you'll come check them out!

This Saturday 5/10 (TOMORROW!): Zine Lab at the Arena Stage 2025 Voices of Now Festival

📌 What: We’ll be making and sharing zines! See VON website for more information about the other amazing happenings during the festival.

📌 Who: This event is free, all-ages, and open to the public! Seating for performances is ticketed and space-limited, so make sure to reserve a seat if you want to see a show.
📌 When: Saturday 5/10– Zine Lab will run 1-7:30pm, festival runs 11:30-8:30
📌 Where: Arena Stage (1101 6th St SW, Washington, DC 20024)
📌 Voices of Now: Voices of Now (VON) is an internationally recognized, devised theater program where ensembles of young artists work with theater professionals to create original plays. The 2025 VON Festival will be a jam-packed day including dynamic VON ensemble performances, hands-on workshops, and thought-provoking panels shaped by youth artists, makers, and storytellers.

Next Saturday 5/17: Narrative By Design Zine Workshop with American Institute of Graphic Arts DC (AIGA DC)

📌 What: A hands-on workshop inviting you to explore the art of storytelling through design.

📌 When: Saturday 5/17 11:30 am - 2 pm

📌 Where: Third Street Art Garden (1225 3rd St NE, Washington, DC 20002)

📌 Tickets: Slots are limited, make sure to register in advance! Tickets are $15 with code DCZINE2025. (As a note, DCZF isn't selling the tickets and doesn't get any profits. All proceeds go to AIGA.)
