Any ideas on what to play? I'm open to anything, I think we may play
FoF but I'm unsure about the scenario or any plans for that matter.

I am up for FoF, since I would like to learn the rules. Reading the rule book is one thing; playing a game is another. I have plastics for WW2 and Arab-Israeli -- usual Airfix, Matchbox, Roco and Roskopf.

I have some WW2 as well, I say we put our heads together and come up with something simple we can get done in three-four hours.

I'm open to anything. Maybe a basic breakthrough and hold scenario with WWII, Arab-Israeli, or some of the T2K moderns might be a good introduction. Like you, Curt, I have yet to play a game with someone else who has played before so it will be a learning experience.  I'd consider doing 15mm sci-fi but that might not be the best introductory game. BTW I'm halfway done on 6 Rebel Minis infiltrators and I got some new stuff for my birthday today

I also got a $25 gift card to gamesworkshop, I don't really want it so
if any does, email me back and we can work out a trade.

If no one objects, I'll design a WW2 FoF scenario for the group. It'll probably be either Anzio or Normandy, generic-historical. I usually design my scenarios with mission accomplishment as the index of success, so, for example, if one side accomplishes its mission but is otherwise skunked, it achieves success.

Let me know if this is okay with the group. Also, indicate your preference for location and side.

Anzio: US or GE

Normandy: US or GE

Anzio might be a lot of fun...I'll give that a try, Curt, I have quite a bit in the vehicle department...lemme know what you need and I am pretty sure I can provide!

Thanks, Jason. Okay, so one vote for Anzio. Anyone else?

BTW, who out there has all the dice needed for FoF? It looks like we're talking d8s, d10s, and d12s, in addition to the usual d6s.

I'd use it on paint and that new weathering powder they have over at Forge World George.

BTW, happy birthday...you know that trade you wanted? Consider it a birthday present...and I'm throwing in some other stuff for you.

Anzio sounds good. My friend might have some extra d8's he'd be
willing to lend.

@ Jason: Thank you very much, whatever it is I'd be happy to expand my
growing collection.
Do you know whether FW accepts GW gift cards as they
are a subsidiary but I think there is some seperation between the two;
for that matter do you think it would work for Warhammer Historicals
as they are now a subsidiary of FW?

BTW, the new Hammer's Slammers tanks look great; any chance we may see
them in action soon? For some variation, I know its not official, the
combat cars would look cool in even a basic stripe pattern.

From my end, work is finishing up on the 6 infiltrators and work has
begun for the design of the new vehicle (mentioned here:
http://www.ambushalleygames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4154 ). So far
some simple mock up tests have not gone very well but work is
proceeding, if slowly.

That I couldn't tell you, best policy might be to ask them, Jage.

I'm going to go with the standard Grey, I got the wrong company decals for the Combat Cars, so I'll probably put in a order with them, plus I have some custom work I'd like them to do!

Take your time, and do it right I say!

I just sent an email, but as it is almost 10 in the UK and they are
usually not speedy to begin with, a response will take a awhile I
assume.

The I will post the competing design ideas soon and see what you all
think. Jason if you see my AAG post can you see how it might fit into
the situation surrounding Djazlah, they could easily go by a different
national name and have almost the same backstory.
