Hi guys,

I just joined. I live in McLean, just inside the Beltway and off of
Rt. 123. My interests are described in my profile at my blog.

To that I might add Worl War II and modern (since 1945) insurgencies.

Hello and welcome to our group,
I've gone to your blog from the AAG forums. It is very interesting and
you have lots of great background for the Renessaince period which is
very helpful.

Thanks, Jage. I'm actually (and slowly) building a campaign system for the French-Spanish conflict in La Florida in the 16th c., using the rules from The Perfect Captain for naval and land combat. Of course, I have to modify the rules for the New World.

Welcome Curt,
That's an interesting period. Never seen it done before, but it
sounds like it would be fun with a lot of dash and daring...without
the usual "pike scrum" one finds in the period.

Thanks, Jason. I'm not aware of anyone doing La Florida (historically a very large area). There are some people interested in South American conflicts of the same period, though. There is a Yahoo group called Practical Soldier, but it's very quiet generally.
