Hey guys,
Well, I came, I saw, and it was nice. It's a well lit, clean space. While the stock is very modest, and right now, biased towards comics, they are trying to build a gaming collection. The Gaming area is their idea of "a first step". Trust me, as first steps go, this is darn good. The tables were roomy, well built and the chairs, though metal folding, had cushions. The staff was nice and took time out to see what we were doing (Classic Battletech). The shop owner is into historicals and science fiction and would LOVE to see us come to his shop, his basic rules? Don't be a twerp. I think we can all manage that.

I have enclosed a couple of pictures of the gaming space, and he basically was open to us coming in either April 17th or the 24th as I had proposed. Lemme know what's best for all of us..

It looks great. I don't really know whether the 17th or 24th would be
best (both!) but I will try to remember that for planning. I'm
surprised there are not more open times as they do have a good number
of tables, but if someone wants a game sooner (I know I will) we could
probably set something up. I do think this place is definately better
than the library because not only do we have more spce to game, but we
can also attract new members and find people with common interests.
Still the Palisades isn't too bad for a quick game especially if
someone has a mat.

Have to agree -- great looking space. How's the parking?

Not too bad. it can be a little dicey but not terrible. I saw a couple of spots up and down the road as well. As for the other issues, there's snacks for sale (.75 for Soda, .50 for a bag of chips, but there were plenty of other options and there's a few eating establishments within a very short drive).
