Played a Game recently

In general this thread is for short battle reports, so I shall
start...

I was over at a friends house today a he has loads of Memoir '44
playing pieces (there are in different scales but the tanks are around
6-10mm), looking for something new where he coyuld actually pull off
manuevers with his tanks, I suggested we play a basic wargame on his
HUGE train display table. The rules, of our own 15-minute invention,
were quite simple in nature because we were doing tank-only battles,
but they worked quite well. We played a few times each closer to a
scenario-based game instead of pointless tank slugouts. While the
pieces were just unpainted plastic for boardgames, due to his great
table the battles still looked the part. He now likes them far more
than the boardgame and we are creating scenarios for future battles.
All in all a great few games and a possible new member!
